PRAYER MEETING!
This Wednesday from 1-2pm in the Chaplaincy

Philippians 4:6 – “...in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”

Prayer is fundamental to everything we do as a CU because it is God working through us so we must strive to seek His will in all things. “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matt 6:10)

We currently have one prayer meeting every week on Wednesday.
This is held in the Chaplaincy (2nd floor of the Nuffield Centre) from 1-2pm. There is usually some free food!

As well as the privilege of praying together, it is also good to pray on our own about God’s work through the CU.

You can pray for the following:

- Unity and love within the CU
- Each member to grow in their Christian maturity
- Everything we do to honour God
- Monday meetings - wisdom for the speakers and for God to speak through them.
- All members to have a desire for evangelism and to proclaim the gospel.
- For our evangelism to be effective, for God to work through our efforts and for His kingdom to be extended
- To be welcoming to any new-comers and to show them God’s love and example.
- Protection and strength for the Leadership Team and wisdom to seek God’s will in all decisions.
- Protection and strength for hall group leaders.
- Hall groups – for unity, good fellowship and for each member to grow as they learn from God’s Word.
- For us to understand more of the importance of prayer in all CU events.
- Worship Team – to focus on God in preparation and when leading songs in main meetings.
- Our UCCF staff worker Kath and relay worker Sam to have wisdom in seeking to help and encourage us.
- Wisdom to know how to use the money that God has given us for the work of the CU.
